About SSi Sutra

Sutra is the Sanskrit word for thread. The program connects surgeons, operating room staff, proctors, hospitals and clinical engineers around every SSi Mantra system.

The SSi Sutra training pathway

  1. Didactic modulesSystem principles, safety, case selection and team roles.
  2. SSi Maya simulationConsole-based and virtual-reality skill modules, repeated until proficiency benchmarks are met.
  3. Hands-on and dry-lab trainingDocking, instrument exchange and system operation with the full team.
  4. Case observationLive and recorded procedures with experienced SSi Mantra surgeons.
  5. Proctored casesInitial procedures with an on-site proctor, followed by remote proctoring for complex cases.

SS International Centre for Robotics Surgery

A centre in Gurugram for robotic surgical education and multidisciplinary team training. The inaugural cardiac robotic surgery programme in June 2026 ran for five days, with 33 graduates from 7 countries and 16 international faculty.

SMRSCThe Global SSI Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference, where surgeons who operate with SSi Mantra present clinical work across specialties, with sessions on telesurgery and training. SSi MantraM was unveiled at SMRSC 2025 in Gurugram.
SSi MantraM visitsIndia's first mobile tele-robotic surgery unit brings SSi Mantra 3 to hospitals, so surgeons and theatre teams can take the console where they practise. Time slots are booked online.
CME and workshopsHands-on training on SSi Mantra for surgeons and theatre teams: console skills with 3D 4K vision, positioning and docking the arm carts, and specialty sessions led by surgeons who perform these procedures with the system.
SRS India 2026New Delhi, 2 to 4 October 2026. The regional meeting of the Society of Robotic Surgery, with four live telesurgeries across Indian cities in a single day.
40th EACTS Annual MeetingBarcelona, 7 to 10 October 2026. SSi Mantra at the annual meeting of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.
